This retractor features a right angle that allows the instrument to be used deep in the surgical field but still maintains the handle out of the plane of surgery. One way to use this instrument is in retraction of nerve roots during procedures such a discectomy which require work in the vicinity of the nerve root and this instrument keeps it protected. This retractor is available in two lengths.
